How to Lower pH in a Pool: Confirm, Adjust, and Retest

If a pool test shows high pH, the safest useful response is not to chase the number with a guessed amount of product. First confirm the reading. Let the pool circulate, then retest

After retesting, ask whether the reading moved in the expected direction and whether it now fits the range stated in your pool-care guidance and product label.
